I haven't forgotten...

I haven't forgotten this blog. Just a little busy and not working on Christmas pages now. However, I have in the past and haven't uploaded the last pages I've done. So here they are.

I'm getting fustrated by this new Blogger. I can't get this darn picture to line up on the right. Ahhh!

Journaling reads: Uncle G was the last to leave on Christmas Eve, so we put him to "work" reading books for Weather Boy before he went to sleep. He got to experience the joy of Dr. Seuss' rhyming, something Craig and I enjoy every night.

Journaling reads, "After a full work day that started at 6:00 am, I raced home to celebrate Heath’s birthday with the Medina side of the family. We had carne asada tacos with Great-Grandma Jane, Grandma and Papa Medina, and Uncle Gerry. Grandma and Papa gave Heath some great blocks, Great-Grandma Jane gave some college money, and Uncle Gerry gave Heath army men and a Tonka tow truck. Mommy and Daddy gave Heath a fire truck, just like he asked for.

I can’t believe you are already four years old, Heath. It has gone by so fast! It seems such a short time ago, we were struggling through our first days together. I love you, Heath."

Journaling reads: "The things we do for our children! After getting pictures with Santa, we treated the boys to train rides at UTC. Unfortunately, Drew was too small to ride by himself, so I had to go because Craig wouldn’t have fit in the car; I barely did! Heath loved being the engineer and Drew was silently happy watching the world go by."

12/24/05 Christmas Eve Tree

Journaling reads: "Oh, Christmas Tree! How bare you look! Notice how the lower half of the tree has big, bare spots? That’s due to our master ornament rearranger, Drew.

This year I wrapped almost all the presents in the same paper which was a first for me and not planned. I had some paper that was good to work with, so I went for it. Another first: presents were wrapped by 10:00 pm on Christmas Eve, which made for a more relaxing evening. Even though I wanted I have the presents wrapped before Christmas Eve, I was OK with this, considering we threw two birthday parties for Heath, and I worked 60 hours the week before Christmas."

December 18 - Picture with Santa

Journaling reads: "Before the picture, Drewbie seemed like he was interested in Santa, but as soon as we put him on Santa’s lap, he started crying. Not just a normal little cry, but an I’m-really-scared cry. His hands were shaking, and there was no comforting him. Heath did his best to smile amidst the balling, and Santa looks like he’s use to this reaction. The picture was taken, and we bought this hard copy and a disk of the picture. We couldn’t go without a picture this year. Once again, we didn’t achieve the picture perfect Christmas, but that’s OK. Maybe next year."
